Lunch with Santa

Time to meet Santa.....

Last year this event (an annual lunch with Santa at the Ohio State Faculty Club) was a bit of a challenge because O was terrified of Santa. He liked the idea of him but could not be within 15 feet of him. So we were a little worried again. We preped him all week, and he was excited, but as soon as we entered the faculty club he turned serious and his head was on a swivel looking for Santa. He was visibly nervous, and so were we.

It was a fun lunch. We were invited by Lindsey, Eddie, and Edward. Rick and Charla (grandma & grandpa) and grandma and grandpa Pauline also made the drive down from Cleveland. We had a private room for our group. It was also Rosemary's first real outing. She was dressed up and ready to go. She did great-was awake and looking around the entire time.

We ran into our extended Mount family, as we do every year, and also happened upon one of Oren's buddies from school.

Then................Santa arrived............................
Oren dropped his bacon and jumped out of his chair. It looked like he was going to bail on the whole deal, but he went right up to Santa for a hug!! He did great, sat on his lap for the longest time. He and Rosemary posed for pictures. Oren told Santa he wanted jammies (pj's) for Christmas. It was unfortunate the Edward is not so fond of Santa yet (at the same again Oren was last year) so we didn't get any good pics with both boys and Santa.
