July 4 Parade

The Fourth of July is a big deal here in UA - I mean BIG DEAL. Events go on all weekend long. The parade is the social event of year. Anyone that lives even close to Northwest Boulevard hosts a party at their house. You can see is just these couple of shots that the parade route is flanked with about 8 people deep on both sides.

O loved the parade last year so we were back waiting for the 'fire engines'. He was given a little flag by the local boys scout troop - he never let go and waved it all day long. He sat quietly and watched intently on every passing float. As soon as it was over and we were walking back to home he fell asleep in his wagon. Like I said-the 4th is a big deal.
